Booking

The lookout station Holtenau is responsible for requests for and bookings of canal helmsmen in Holtenau, the lookout station Brunsbüttel is responsible for requests for and bookings of canal helmsmen in Brunsbüttel. 

Both stations are manned 24/7.In order to avoid waiting times for shipping, bookings should be made for

1. steering from Holtenau at least one hour prior to cast off from the berth or arrival in the lock Holtenau
2. steering from the berths in Rendsburg at least 2 hours prior to planned cast off to the lookout station Holtenau
3. steering from Brunsbüttel at least 2.5 hours prior to cast off from the berth or arrival in the lock Brunsbüttel to the lookout station Brunsbüttel.
